01Who we are

EnLab is operated by Enable Silicon Technologies Pvt. Ltd., registered in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India ("EnLab", "we", "us"). For the purposes of the DPDP Act, we are the data fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy.

EnLab makes AI-assisted tools for embedded engineers, including an agentic CLI IDE, private cloud workspaces and a hardware server that works with devices attached to your computer.

Contact: contact@enlab.co.in. Grievance Officer: see "Contact and Grievance Officer" below.

02What we collect

Account

  • Name, email address and Google account identifier (from Google sign-in).
  • Organisation and plan details.

Connector usage

  • Which EnLab tools were called, when, and the result status.
  • The minimal arguments needed to run each tool, for example a repository name, a file path or a device identifier.
  • EnLab does not receive or store your conversations with your AI assistant. It records the requests your assistant sends to EnLab and the results EnLab returns, as described in "Telemetry and session records".

Code and builds

  • Repository contents cloned into a temporary, private cloud workspace for your session.
  • Build logs, firmware artifacts and their cryptographic hashes.

Hardware server

  • Device identifier, device certificate and pairing records.
  • Records of the operations you request and approve.
  • Limited device output returned for a requested operation, such as serial logs, fault registers and test results.
  • The hardware server has no open network port. It acts only on operations that are signed by EnLab and approved by you.

GitHub

  • GitHub user and installation identifiers, repository names, and the permissions you granted to the EnLab GitHub App.

Website

  • Contact and early-access form submissions (your email address and message), processed by formsubmit.co.
  • Basic server logs kept by our website host.
  • Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google’s servers.
  • Our website does not use analytics tools or advertising trackers and does not set cookies.

Telemetry and session records

When you use EnLab through an AI assistant, on your computer, or in the EnLab IDE, we record:

  • Your account: your account and organisation, and which AI assistant you connected.
  • Your sessions with EnLab: the requests your AI assistant sends to EnLab and the results EnLab returns. These can include your project’s code and files, build output, and logs from your hardware.
  • Activity on your computer through EnLab: actions EnLab takes on your computer, such as files and folders opened, commands run, firmware builds and flashes, the approvals you give, and their results.
  • Technical information: the EnLab version, your operating system version, the development tools and hardware probes EnLab detects, and error and crash reports.
  • Usage details: times, durations, and whether each action succeeded or failed.

We do not receive the messages you type to your AI assistant or the assistant’s replies to you. Those stay with the assistant’s provider.

Why: to provide and support the Service, fix problems, keep it secure, and improve EnLab. Where: on Google Cloud, with access limited to authorised EnLab staff. These records are tied to your account and are not anonymous. We do not sell this data. How long: 1 year, then it is deleted automatically.

Your choices: these records are part of how EnLab works, so there is no setting in the product for individual users to turn them off. Your organisation’s administrator can turn session recording off for your organisation. You can stop all collection at any time by disconnecting EnLab or uninstalling it (see "Revoking access" below), and you can withdraw your consent or ask for your records to be deleted by emailing contact@enlab.co.in (see "Your rights" below).

Security logs

  • IP address, user agent, timestamps and audit records of actions taken in your account.

03How we use your data

We process personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you create an account, connect a product or submit a form, and for other legitimate uses permitted by the DPDP Act, such as complying with law. We use it to:

  • provide the Service: run the tools you call, build and flash firmware, and return results;
  • keep EnLab secure and prevent abuse, including protecting EnLab’s intellectual property;
  • provide support and respond to your requests;
  • comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities; and
  • improve the product, using aggregated or de-identified usage metrics only.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your code, firmware, device data or session records to train AI models.

04Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run EnLab, and only as needed for the purposes above:

  • Google Cloud: hosting of EnLab’s cloud services and workspaces, in region asia-south1 (Mumbai, India).
  • Third-party AI service providers: EnLab’s internal systems are proprietary. Processing is carried out with third-party AI service providers, and we share data with them as needed to provide the Service.
  • GitHub: to carry out the repository operations you request.
  • Google: sign-in with your Google account.
  • Vercel: hosting of the enlab.co.in website.
  • formsubmit.co: delivery of website contact and early-access form submissions to us by email.
  • Government authorities, courts or regulators, when we are legally required to disclose information.

Some of these providers may process data outside India. Where this happens, we transfer data only as permitted under the DPDP Act and any restrictions notified by the Government of India.

05How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, then delete or anonymise it:

  • Account data: while your account is active, plus 30 days.
  • Temporary cloud workspaces: deleted within 24 hours after the session ends.
  • Build artifacts: 30 days.
  • Device operation output: 30 days.
  • Telemetry and session records: 1 year.
  • Audit and security logs: 1 year, or longer if required by law or for an ongoing investigation.
  • Contact-form emails: 1 year.
  • Billing and tax records: as long as required by tax law (currently up to 6 years).

06How we protect data

  • Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
  • Hardware operations are signed by EnLab and must be approved by you before the hardware server runs them.
  • Access controls and least-privilege access for staff and systems.
  • Audit logging of security-relevant actions.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected users as required by law.

07Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:

  • access a summary of the personal data we process about you and how we process it;
  • correct, complete or update your personal data;
  • erase your personal data, unless we must keep it by law;
  • withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing already done, and some features may stop working);
  • have your grievances redressed by us; and
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapable.

To ask for deletion of your data, including telemetry, email contact@enlab.co.in with the subject "Delete my data" from the address on your account. We will confirm once it is done, except for records we must keep by law.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@enlab.co.in or our Grievance Officer. We may need to verify your identity. We will acknowledge your request or grievance within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days of receipt.

If you are not satisfied with our response to a grievance, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

  • Disconnect EnLab in the settings of the application you connected it to.
  • Uninstall the EnLab GitHub App, or remove repositories from it, in your GitHub settings.

EnLab is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
